New Libra Campaign: Corrugated Cardboard Cash Out

On July 17, 2019, the AGCM concluded an investigation, establishing the existence of two cartel agreements in the corrugated board sheet and packaging sector, involving major manufacturers and GIFCO. The fines amounted to more than 287 million euros.

After appeals to the Lazio Regional Administrative Court, twenty-five appeals were heard on May 24, 2021, confirming the penalty for most of the cartel participants.

In January 2023, the Council of State finally confirmed the existence of the cartels.

Companies purchasing corrugated sheets and/or packaging from 2004 to 2018 are entitled to compensation for the damage suffered.

Libra has launched a new campaign: Corrugated Cardboard Cash-Out. After assessing the damage and verifying the necessary documentation, Libra offers injured parties the opportunity to surrender their potential compensation claim, receiving immediate payment without having to take legal action against corrugated cardboard manufacturers and wait for the outcome of the litigation.

This campaign, active from May 9, 2024 until the available ceiling is exhausted, is reserved for companies purchasing corrugated sheets and boxes during the period 2004-2018. More information is provided in the case sheet, and Libra consultants are available to support interested companies.
