April 16, 2025 marks a historic date for the third-party litigation funding sector in Italy.
Libra Claims, together with 130 Servicing S.p.A., BDGroup, Legance, and DELEX Law Firm, has finalized the first securitization of litigation claims, with the issuance of €30 million in ABS (Asset-Backed Securities), fully subscribed by investment funds.
The transaction involved the creation of a claims portfolio with a total value of over €500 million and represents a decisive step towards the full integration of litigation funding among regulated financial instruments, with full recognition by the institutional market.
Thanks to Law 130/1999, the initiative allows for the collective management of claims that, if dealt with individually, would be too complex or costly, promoting more efficient and transparent access to justice.
With this achievement, Libra Claims reinforces its commitment to introducing structured and regulated solutions into the Italian legal and financial market, helping to create a more transparent and accessible environment.
