Volkswagen AG is one of the largest industrial groups in the automotive sector.
On 20 September 2015, the scandal of the so-called “Dieselgate” has been in the spotlight, following the admission by VW’s top management to have installed manipulation devices in many of its models aimed at evading polluting emissions tests.
The seriousness of such an admission quickly affected the group’s share value, which lost 30% in value in just two days.
The documentation made available by the US authorities together with the admissions of the same management, prove that the top management of VW was perfectly aware of the serious illegal conduct long before the statement released to the press.
Lawsuits are currently pending in Germany, aimed at ascertaining the company’s liability towards investors damaged by the sudden collapse and the right of investors in shares or related financial products to be compensated for the damage suffered.
Libra has opened a file on the case and is gathering supporting documents from damaged private and institutional investors.
